In Wyoming County Court, Charlene Mess of Attica pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of her husband, Douglas Mess. According to the information Viewers Corner News correspondent gathered, Charlene Mess (49 years) who had lived with her farmer husband for 30 years hit him several times with a pitchfork and shot him in the head with a .22-caliber rifle inside their farm barn in April 2015. After shooting her husband Douglas Mess (52 years old) dead, she buried his body in manure with the hope that the body would decompose without being found. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison by the court on Thursday, June 24, 2016.
