If Miyetti Allah Breeders association and others have no hidden agenda in the southern part of Nigeria, they should accept the offer given to them by governor Ganduje of Kano state. He promised to allocate a huge portion of land where cattle rearers in Nigeria can breed their cows without stress. Why are they bent on moving their cows about in the southern part of Nigeria, destroying people’s farm lands and their crops, which are their means of livelihood? The government of Nigeria is not taking action against these groups of people, which is bad. At this point, it becomes absolutely right to say that the southern governors coming together to ban open grazing should be supported. We have seen and noted how some Fulani herdsmen go about in the southern part of Nigeria, raping and killing people on their farm land. This led the southern governors to take a decision on the ban on moving cows everywhere in the south. Again, the Viewers Corner News team commends the southern governors for their decision, while we are appealing to cattle breeders in Nigeria to do the needful by accepting Governor Ganduje’s offer so that the people of Nigeria can have peace to do their business without fear of being raped or killed on their farms.
