CARDINAL GEORGE PELL, THE 77 YEAR OLD FORMER VATICAN TREASURER AND SENIOR ADVISER TO POPE FRANCIS HAS BEEN SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS IN PRISON FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Melbourne learned that Cardinal George Pell was on Wednesday, 12 March 2019 sentenced to six years in prison for child sex abuse. He was convicted at Victoria’s County Court in central Melbourne by Chief Judge Peter Kidd for assaulting two choirboys in 1996 at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne. Cardinal George Pell is the most senior Vatican official to be convicted for such a crime (molesting children).
