The Britain interior ministry said Britain will start building anti migrant wall in the northern French port of Calais. According to the ministry, a wall of four-metre (13-foot) high, one-kilometre long will be built to prevent migrants from jumping on trucks. The wall construction which is expected to cost 2.7 million euros ($3.0 million) will commence this month and to be completed by the end of this year according to Robert Goodwill (the junior minister). The British government will fund the anti-migrant wall based on the agreement reached in March’s summit. Many citizens of Britain including Caroline Lucas (Green Party MP) and Richard Burnett (chief executive of Britain’s Road Haulage Association) have criticized this anti-migrant wall, saying that it is ”monstrous and waste of taxpayers’ money”. Also Austria has announced plans for the construction of a new fence along its border with Hungary in order to close migrant route and Hungary has built a reinforced fence on its border with Serbia.
