Boris Johnson, the Pro-Brexit member of Britain’s Conservative Party has been appointed as the United Kingdom new prime minister. Theresa May who stepped down due to her inability to lead Britain out of the European Union formally resigned on Wednesday, 24 July. On Tuesday, the 55 year old Boris Johnson defeated Jeremy Hunt in Conservative Party leadership contest and had meeting Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. While addressing the British people outside 10 Downing Street (the UK PM’s official residence), Boris Johnson stated that UK would come out of the European Union on October 31, “no ifs or buts”.
