BOBBY JOHNSON IS FREED AT LAST AFTER SERVING NINE YEARS IN JAIL FOR A WRONGFUL CONVICTION OF AN OFFENCE HE NEVER COMMITTED.

Bobby Johnson and his friend were convicted in 2006 for allegedly shooting death a 70-year-old Herbert Fields during a robbery in New Haven in August 2006. Bobby Johnson was 16 years as at that time and his friend was 14 years when the offence was committed in the U.S. Information reaching Viewers Corner News revealed that Bobby Johnson was coerced into admitting that he committed the offence. Viewers Corner News thank and appreciate the effort of the Bobby Johnson’s lawyer, Mr Kenneth Rosenthal for having fought hard to get Mr Bobby Johnson out of the prison.

This is not the first time in the U.S. when some individuals were wrongfully jailed for the offence they were accused of committing and again assuming this case involving Bobby Johnson carries death penalty, that means this young man might or would have been executed just like that. Viewers Corner News interest in this case is that the U.S and all other nations that are still carrying out death penalty for any offence committed should please stop these executions. It would be better for the individual to serve life sentence because somewhere along the line, it could be that the person may be innocent of the offence he or she is accused of just like the case of Bobby Johnson. If the case had not been re-visited, perhaps this young man would have been killed or still be serving a long jail term just like that.
Therefore, Viewers Corner News is appealing that various countries around the world should stop any form of execution because new evidence could come up which may at the end prove that the accused person is not the one who committed the crime. Let us as citizens of this world trade cautiously so that we do not hurt the innocent person that have no hand in the crime he or she is accused of committing.
Once again, Viewers Corner News congratulates Mr Bobby Johnson for regaining his freedom.
