It was reported that 51 people accused of belonging to a militant group have been convicted by Bahrain. Bahrain’s government said that the convicts were taking orders from Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard. Bahrain also said that Iran’s Revolutionary guard supplied weapons and funding to help the militant group to potentially target economic and vital installations, security patrol sites, the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and Bahrain Defense Force. The kingdom also said that those arrested had targeted bank ATM, allegedly possessed gasoline bombs and other dangerous items. The convicts sentences were from five years to life in prison. More than half of these convicts are living abroad.
