The presence of government is no longer felt in Asaba, the state capital of Delta state in Nigeria since ex-governor Ifeanyi Okowa left office. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has shifted most of his operations to Warri which is believed to be his place as alleged. Our point is, when ex-governor Ifeanyi Okowa was in office, the presence of his government was felt in Asaba the state capital of Delta state, including other communities in the state. But since Governor Sheriff Oborevwori came to office, the story has changed completely. We do not know if he lives in Asaba or not. We also gathered that some of the drainages that ex-governor Ifeanyi Okowa built when he was in power are no longer functioning effectively because of a lack of maintenance and when it rains, most places are flooded. Hence, we are appealing to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State in Nigeria to remember that Asaba is still the state capital of Delta State, so he should work more to keep the state capital clean and free of flooding. This is just advice to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta state in Nigeria. Let the needful be done and done nicely.
