Viewers Corner News and the Advisory team is appealing to President Buhari and his government to invest more in agriculture. Local farmers in the country (Nigeria) should be given more incentives by improving on their system of farming possibly through mechanized system because the amount of money spent on certain food imports annually based on Viewers Corner News findings would always drain the treasury of the country (Nigeria). If half of such huge amount of money is given to the farmers in the country after careful reforms in agriculture have been carried out, then it would most definitely reduce the amount the government is spending on importation of various food items into the country. Nigeria has fertile lands to grow her crops and if this aspect is done with honesty, we believe that in the near future, food shortage would be a thing of the past in the country (Nigeria). If an individual does not have much cash in his possession but at least the little he or she has should be enough to buy good and nourishing food to eat. Any country that has enough to eat through growing her own foods would always move forward, therefore now is the time to get started and do what is right for the people of the country (Nigeria).
