ANY STATE GOVERNOR IN NIGERIA WHO IS UNABLE TO IMPLEMENT THE 30,000 NAIRA MINIMUM WAGE APPROVED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA FOR WORKERS SHOULD RESIGN.

Based on our recent findings, Viewers Corner News team is revisiting this issue, some governors in Nigeria are complaining bitterly that it will be very difficult for them to pay the 30,000 naira minimum wage approved by the federal government of Nigeria for workers. Among the governors is governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state (Nigeria) who manipulated his way to win the governorship election of his state. It was also alleged that the governorship candidate of APC in Ebonyi state who would have defeated governor David Umahi very easily compromised his position. A man who many in Ebonyi state were prepared to work with so that the people of Ebonyi state would get out of the economic hardship governor David Umahi has plunged them into but little did they know that the man (Senator Sonny Ogbuoji) is a two face sort of individual. Somehow the next four years of governor David Umahi is going to be difficult for the people of Ebonyi state because he is certainly going to tightened so many things so that he can be able to recover the huge amount of money he spent during the election which runs into billions of Naira. Again the election in Ebonyi state was not fairly conducted just like it was in most parts of the country (Nigeria). Winning governorship election depends on how much money an individual has in his possession, hence governor David Umahi was able to win. Another reason some of those governors may not be able to pay the 30,000 naira minimum wage is that they are indebted to some big names in Nigeria who sponsored them to win the governorship election, hoping to pay them from the monthly federal allocation and after the deduction may have been made, those crying governors in Nigeria would be left with little to pay workers and pensioners in their states. Again, the past governorship election in Nigeria was a do or die affair because of greed and selfishness which should not have been so. Though the awareness created through various means is yielding results on a gradual scale, meaning that Nigerian voters are learning and as time goes on, it would be one man, one vote which shall end the game of manipulation across the country (Nigeria).
