Despite some infrastructural facilities President Buhari’s government built in Nigeria, the government still remain very unpopular and intimidating in the eyes of most Nigerians, this is based on our (Viewers Corner News team) findings. The past government of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan which squandered lots of Nigeria’s hard earned money was not hated like President Buhari and his government because President Buhari’s government lacks the ability to handle criticism from the public. Also President Buhari’s government has refused to learn and understand the areas where they failed so that they can be corrected. Nigerians who elected President Buhari to lead them have every right to speak out when things are not going the way they expected. It would be of interest if President Buhari and his government calm down a bit and stop using security agencies to Intimidate Nigerians. Also President Buhari and his government should review their activities to see if any amendment can be made so that they can correct the negative impression the people of Nigeria have against the government. Look at Mr Omoyele Sowore who is constantly being harassed for criticising President Buhari’s government. His recent arrest is uncalled for, he is only doing what democracy permits him to do as long as he did not carry weapon to attack anyone or rebel against the government. In our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion, Mr Sowore has not gone against the law of Nigeria, hence Viewers Corner News team is calling on the federal government of Nigeria to release him. There are lots of pressing issues that need urgent attention which Nigerians both home and abroad expect President Buhari and his government to tackle instead of harassing Mr Sowore at every giving opportunity. Boko-haram is causing severe havoc in Nigeria with other bandits, these are the people federal government of Nigeria should go after to ensure that the country is safe for the people of Nigeria because as it is now, insecurity is a major issue facing Nigeria. Insecurity in Nigeria is depriving investors from coming into the country to invest which should be the number one priority of President Buhari and his government. Again, it is the right of everyone to criticise any government in power, most especially when the government in question is not working to improve the living standard of the people of the country.
