Ahmed Kathrada popularly called uncle Kathy was a great man who stood up and opposed the white minority rule in South Africa. He was one of late Nelson Mandela’s close friends and was also jailed for opposing white minority rule in South Africa. He died at 87 years of age and will surely be missed. The freedom people are enjoying today in South Africa would not have been possible without Ahmed Kathrada and his colleagues who fought so hard to free the country (South Africa) from white minority rule.
