Angelique Kerber, the German 11th seed has won her first Wimbledon title by beating the seven-time champion Serena Williams 6-3 6-3 at the All England Club. The win will add to the German’s 2016 Australian Open and US Open victories. Angelique Kerber is the first German since Steffi Graf to win the women’s singles champion at Wimbledon. The 36-year-old Serena Williams was seeking a 24th Grand Slam title, 10 months after having her first child but unfortunately Kerber shattered her hope. Congratulations to Angelique Kerber.
