ANGELA MERKEL (GERMAN CHANCELLOR) ANNOUNCED THAT GERMANY WILL TAKE IN 10,000 REFUGEES FROM UNITED NATIONS RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM.

Ten thousand (10,000) migrants selected by the United Nations’ refugee agency would be taking in by Germany as part of the agency’s resettlement program. The information was made known recently by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel during a meeting with Filippo Grandi (the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees). Germany is the second largest donor to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) after United States. In the past three years, Germany has contributed about $477 million to the agency.
