The Britain’s Andy Murray has been crowned the world number one by Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) after beating American John Isner in Paris Masters tournament. The 29-year old Scot (Andy Murray) defeated Isner 6-3 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 to win his first Paris Masters title on Sunday, November 6, 2016 and succeeded Novak Djokovic who held the world number one position for 122 weeks. Murray who also won Olympic and Wimbledon titles is the oldest player at 29 years to become number one for the first time and he is 405 points above Djokovic in the new rankings.
