AN AMERICAN DRONE STRIKE HAS KILLED MULLAH AKHTAR MOHAMMAD MANSOUR, LEADER OF THE AFGHAN TALIBAN.


Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour, the leader of the Afghan Taliban was reported dead, he was killed by An American drone strike near the Afghan border in the Pakistani province of Baluchistan (de facto headquarters of the Afghan Taliban).
According to John Kerry (U.S Secretary of State) who confirmed his death, stated at a news briefing in Naypyidaw, Myanmar that Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour was a danger to American and coalition forces in Afghanistan. Also President Barack Obama said that the late Taliban leader (Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour) rejected efforts by the Afghan government to seriously engage in peace talks and end the violence that has taken the lives of countless innocent Afghan citizens.
President Ashraf Ghani of Afghanistan has tried to bring the insurgency into negotiations with no success.
