The former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi’s ministerial screening/confirmation should be seen as a process, Viewers Corner is of the opinion that he would be screened and confirmed because all the accusations against him is not authentic and his political enemies are using that as a weapon to block his ministerial screening/confirmation.
Again, if we look back in his state when he was the Governor of Rivers State, he did better than most Governors both the past and the present ones especially in educational sector. We (Viewers Corner) believe that if he becomes a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he would work nicely too. Rotimi Amaechi has never been arrested or convicted of any crime and Viewers Corner’s findings have not implicated Rotimi Amaechi in any wrong doings. Somehow, it can also be said that in Nigeria, no Governor both the past and present ones are clean, almost all of them must have done one or two mistakes somewhere along the line but as far as former Governor Rotimi Amaechi is concerned, he is better than most of those already confirmed to be ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Therefore, Viewers Corner is appealing that Rotimi Amaechi be screened and confirmed just like the others.
