A 42 year old man, Ali Yousif Ahmed Al-Nouri wanted in Iraq for killing two police officers has been arrested in Phoenix, Arizona. According to the information our correspondent gathered, Al-Nouri acted as the leader of al Qaeda group in Fallujah (Iraq) when he allegedly killed those Iraqi policemen in 2006. He was wanted in Iraq on charges of premeditated murder of the police officers. A judge in Iraq issued a warrant for his arrest and Iraqi government has requested his extradition from the United States. On Friday, 31 January 2020, al-Nouri appeared before a federal magistrate judge in Phoenix in connection with proceedings to extradite him to Iraq.
