Bola Tinubu and Funke Akindele

Alhaji Bola Tinubu allegedly called Ms. Funke Akindele of the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria an ant. Such a word may hurt his presidential ambition and that of the Lagos state governor.

Knowing when to speak and how to speak at every given time would take anyone far in life. Alhaji Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, believes that because of his wealth, he is bigger than everyone in Nigeria, so he can speak as he wishes. We know that Ms. Funke Akindele is too junior to stand before Bola Tinubu, as he allegedly claimed, but as long as she is a deputy governorship candidate of a political party, she is already in the same race as that of Bola Tinubu’s candidate (Governor Sanwo-Olu). So calling her an ant may not do Bola Tinubu and his political party any good. Funke Akindele has lots of supporters, both in Lagos State and across Nigeria. Therefore, underrating her can cost you politically. Even her supporters, who would have voted for Bola Tinubu at the presidential election, can switch to another political party. Again, no matter how small Funke Akindele’s supporters may be, they can make a difference in Bola Tinubu’s bid for Aso-Rock-Villa. The Viewers Corner News team is calling on Alhaji Bola Tinubu’s political advisers to guide him properly, especially when he is trying to reach out to Nigerians. His reckless use of words is surely going to affect his presidential ambition. In the past, Nigerian politicians relied so much on their financial power to get to the top, but this time, their money is surely going to fail them. Hence, Alhaji Bola Tinubu should be guided if he wants Nigerians to listen to him.
