ALBANIA HAS COMPLETED THE DESTRUCTION OF TONS OF AMMUNITION AND WEAPONS RENDERED OBSOLETE WHEN THE COUNTRY JOINED NATO.

Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that Albania has completed the destruction of thousands of weapons and ammunitions that were rendered obsolete when the country joined NATO in 2009. According to Olta Xhacka (Albania Defense Minister), the process started eight years ago and the last tons of ammunition were destroyed recently at plants in central Albania. When Albania joined NATO in 2009, its obsolete automatic rifles, tons of ammunition and small weapons were replaced with NATO-standard weapons.
