Not less than 10 people were killed on Friday, December 29, 2017 when gunmen opened fire outside Mar Mina church in south Cairo, Egypt. According to the information our correspondent gathered, those died includes eight Coptic Christians and three police officers. The report stated that the two attackers opened fire at the entrance to the church of Mar Mina in Helwan district. One attacker was shot dead by security forces and the second who fled had been captured. Since December 2016, Egypt’s Christian minority has been targeted by Islamic militants in a series of attacks and hundreds have lost their lives.
