Viewers Corner News was informed by our source in Ankara (Turkey) that a car bomb which was detonated by the Kurdish militants at a police station in southeast part of the country has killed about 6 people and wounded not less than 21 others on Monday, August 15, 2016. According to the information, the attack was targeted at a traffic-police station on a highway which links Diyarbakir city and the town of Batman. It killed two civilians and four police officers. Also 21 people were seriously wounded in the attack and Turkish authorities blamed the attack on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
Since last year when the cease-fire between Turkey and Kurdistan Workers’ Party collapsed, there have been series of clashes between the two parties and the PKK often targets the Turkey police or military with roadside explosives or car bombs. Thousands of PKK militants and hundreds of Turkish security personnel have been killed since last year the cease-fire collapsed according to reports.
