ABOUT ONE THOUSAND HOMES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED BY QATAR FOR THE GAZANS THAT WERE DISPLACED BY WAR.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Doha was informed that Qatar authorities have built about one thousand homes for the Gazan citizens who were displaced by war. According to the report, Qatar envoy, Mohammed Al-Amadi said recently that Qatari-funded construction projects have provided about one thousand homes for the Palestinians who were homeless due to the 2014 Gaza war with Israel. After the war, Qatar pledged $1 billion for building projects in Gaza and $50 million has been paid to owners of destroyed houses to fund the rebuilding of their houses. In Gaza, more than 100,000 people are still displaced 18 months after the war and apart from housing, Qatar has also helped the people of Gaza in area of electricity, agriculture and infrastructure. Last month, an Indonesian funded hospital was opened in Gaza and it is the first new medical centre in the territory in a decade.
