It was reported that a mega dam burst in Solai in Nakuru county (Kenya) on Thursday, May 10, 2018 and over forty four people lost their lives while about forty are still missing. The Patel dam used for irrigation and fishing according to the report burst its walls (one kilometer long) after heavy rains and swept several homes downstream. The death includes many women and children who were trapped in mud.
