ABOUT 46 PEOPLE HAVE DIED AND MORE THAN 25,000 DISPLACED IN BRAZIL DUE TO FLOODING CAUSED BY HEAVY RAINS AND STORMS ACROSS SOUTH EAST OF BRAZIL.

It was reported that at least 46 people have died and about 25,000 displace due to flooding, following heavy rains and storms across south east of Brazil. According to the report, the flood hit mostly in Minas Gerais state, including the capital Belo Horizonte which recorded its heaviest rainfall of over 12 hours. On Sunday, 37 people were reportedly died in Minas Gerais while over 17,000 were displaced or evacuated from their homes and 25 people were missing. In Espirito Santo state, nine people died while more than 8,000 were displaced or evacuated and three people were missing.
