Air strike in Ethiopia's Tagogon

ABOUT 43 PEOPLE WERE KILLED IN AN AIR STRIKE IN ETHIOPIA’S TAGOGON TOWN (TIGRAY REGION).

It was reported that about 43 people were killed on Tuesday and several were injured by an air strike in Tagogon town in Ethiopia’s Tigray region. The bomb hit a market and many people were killed, according to an eye witness who spoke with the Viewers Corner News correspondent and forty-three fatalities were confirmed by medical officials. Colonel Getnet Adane, the Ethiopian military spokesman, said that the air strikes did not target civilians. This comes as Ethiopia is counting ballots from national and regional parliamentary elections held in the country. No election was held in Tigray, where the troops were fighting forces loyal to the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).
