ABOUT 24 YEMENI PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND MANY WOUNDED IN THE RECENT FIGHTING BETWEEN GOVERNMENT FORCES AND HOUTHI REBELS.

It was reported that about 24 Yemeni people have lost their lives and many wounded in Saturday fighting between government forces and Houthi rebels in Marib province and the city of Hodeida. Yemen war started in 2014 when Iran-backed Houthi rebels seized Sanaa (the country’s capital) and most of the northern part of Yemen in order to take control of the country from the internationally recognized government. A Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore the authority of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s government launched a military intervention. The Yemen’s war has caused world’s worst humanitarian crisis, millions of Yemeni have suffered from food and medical shortages and more than 112,000 people have been killed.
