The newly elected governor (Dr Kayode Fayemi) of Ekiti state (Nigeria) has abolished education tax system in the state which is great. We (Viewers Corner News team) are pleading with him (governor Kayode Fayemi) to examine the system carefully before jumping into conclusion because the past government of Ekiti state under the leadership of ex-governor Peter Ayodele Fayose left over 115 billion Naira debt for Ekiti state (Nigeria) which would be settled by governor Kayode Fayemi’s government. The unpaid workers salaries and pensioners allowances which run into billions of Naira are also there to settle, therefore implementing free education for primary and secondary schools across the state may strain the treasury of Ekiti state instead it would have been better to have the school fees reduced a bit. Our (Viewers Corner News team) reason for saying so is that the load ahead for the newly elected governor of Ekiti state (Nigeria) and his government would be very heavy to carry but with proper planning, it shall get better.
Our (Viewers Corner News team) concern is this; Please as a governor make sure that workers salaries and pensioners allowances are paid properly no matter how little it may be, let it always get to the workers and pensioners as at when due. This is an appeal from Viewers Corner News and the advisory team to governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state (Nigeria).
