Nigerian politicians and those they appointed to head various government departments in Nigeria stole billions of money which they can not freely use. Then what is the essence of doing that? Majority of them use their power to acquire all sorts of properties ranging from vehicles to houses etc. Look at Abdullahi Dikko Inde (the ex-comptroller of customs in Nigeria) who kept various expensive cars in his hideout without making use of them. This attitude does not show intelligence and these are men appointed to manage government agencies, now tell me how such a man like Abdullahi Dikko Inde could successfully manage the department of customs effectively during his tenure as the comptroller general of customs? Mismanagement may have been the order of the day when he was the custom boss. The government as at that time which would have been calling for briefings from various parastatals was very corrupt and most times did not know how to get things done the right way. Somehow Nigeria is among the countries of the world where thieves and ex-convicts are regarded as heroes, we mean big time thieves those that steal in billions like the politicians but those that steal peanuts when they are hungry go to jail for a very long time. This is injustice and the system can only be practised in a corrupt society where law and order is broken down. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is doing a great job in Nigeria, we appreciate them and at the same time plead with them to always maintain this beautiful and sincere ways of going after those that ruined the country (Nigeria) no matter the intimidation or name calling from the cabals and also from certain group of people in Nigeria. One thing is certain which is majority of Nigerians appreciate and value the works being carried out by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in trying to clean up the system for the future of our children. Therefore the prayers of those large group of people in Nigeria who appreciate and value your good works in the country (Nigeria) would continue to guide and protect the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria.
