It was reported that a Turkish diplomat is one of the two people killed by a gunman in a restaurant in Iraq. According to the information our correspondent gathered, a gunman entered HuQ Qabaz restaurant in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdish autonomous region in Iraq and opened fire. The assailant killed two people including a Turkish diplomat. The diplomat was identified by a local police source as the Turkish vice consul. Our correspondent also learned that the gunman escaped from the restaurant through the back door and security forces were searching for him. Such assaults are rare in Erbil and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
