A SYRIAN KURDISH MAN SET FIRE ON HIMSELF IN FRONT OF THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE IN GENEVA.

It was reported that a Syrian Kurdish man set himself on fire with gasoline on Wednesday, 23 October in front of the United Nations refugee agency’s headquarters in Geneva. According to the information released by Silvain Guillaume-Gentil (Police spokesman), the Syrian Kurdish man was born in 1988 and lives in Germany. Luckily, the Security guards were able to extinguish the fire and the man was taken by helicopter to Lausanne’s hospital which specializes in treating burns. The man’s purpose of setting fire on himself is yet to be determined as his condition is too critical to be questioned by the police. Recently, President Donald Trump pulled out U.S troops who had been fighting with Syrian Kurdish soldiers against the Islamic State group and Turkish soldiers started a military operation in northern Syria against Kurdish people.
