Governor Samuel Ortom

A SUSPENDED AIR FORCE OFFICER WHO REFUSED BENUE STATE GOVERNOR SAMUEL ORTOM’S REQUEST TO MEET VICE PRESIDENT YEMI OSINBAJO MAY BE TAKING ORDERS.

Information reaching the Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja, Nigeria, revealed that Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State was prevented from accessing the Makurdi Air Force Base to greet the Vice President of Nigeria (Professor Yemi Osinbajo). The Air Force officer who carried out this act has been suspended by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao. Why would a governor who is the chief security officer in his state be denied access to greet or see the vice president who passed through Benue State on his way to Taraba State to represent the President as a visitor at the Federal University in Wukari? This is not right. Governor Samuel Ortom, as the chief security officer of Benue state, has every right to see Nigeria’s vice president, who has stopped at a military base in his state. Again, the suspended military officer may not have acted alone but could have been taking orders from above. The Viewers Corner News team pleads with Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president of Nigeria, to tread carefully and be on the good side of history because these are trying times. Some politicians in Nigeria may be playing dirty games in an attempt to have his political ambition dented so that people will see him in a negative way. In politics, anything is possible. As it stands now, Professor Yemi Osinbajo is among the most favourable presidential aspirants, but some dubious people could be looking for ways to put a dent in his name as a man who would not carry everyone along if he becomes the president of Nigeria. Do your best to be in the good books of Nigerians because you are the favoured one to lead the country come 2023.
