Viewers Corner News was informed that a suicide bomber struck a vehicle carrying Hamid Shakeel on his way to work (a deputy inspector general of police in Quetta, southwestern province of Baluchistan, Pakistan) on Thursday, November 9, 2017 killing him and three other officers. According to the information, Hamid Shakeel was targeted because he played a great role in arresting militants and members of separatist groups in the country (Pakistan). Nine other people including police officers were also wounded in the attack. Tehrik-e-Taliban (Pakistani Taliban) has claimed responsibility for the attack. Lately, Baluchistan has experienced series of attacks that have claimed the lives of more than 180 lives. May the souls of the dead rest in peace.
