A SUICIDE BOMB CAR TARGETED AN AFGHANISTAN ARMY COMPOUND IN BALKH PROVINCE HAS KILLED SIX AFGHAN SOLDIERS.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Kabul reported that a suicide bombing car targeted an Afghan army compound in the Balkh province has killed six Afghan troops and wounded three others. According to the report, a suicide bomber detonated a car laden with explosives on Thursday morning at Afghan army compound, then a group of insurgents stormed into the compound, and started shooting at Afghan forces. Though there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but the Afghanistan defense ministry blamed it on the Taliban. Recently, the Taliban have been targeting the Afghan and U.S. forces, as well as government officials in Balkh province. On Tuesday, the Taliban attacked an army checkpoint in Dawlat Abad district of Balkh, killing about seven Afghan soldiers and wounded six others.
