Nigerian police

A Nigerian police officer, Ubi Ebri, who killed a man, Onyeka Ibe, in Delta State, has been sacked.

The sacking of Ubi Ebri, a police officer who killed Onyeka Ibe, a man in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria, is a welcome development. We are appealing to the police authority in Nigeria to make the punishment of any police officer who terminates the lives of innocent Nigerians harder, which would deter other police officers from committing such horrible crimes. As a police officer who passed through a police college and had all the necessary training, you should exhibit decency when it comes to handling the public. Again, as a police officer, you should know when not to cross the line. The killing of innocent Nigerians whom you are to protect is forbidden. Committing these crimes as police officers will put you all in big trouble. We are therefore calling on the police authority in Nigeria to have seminars organized regularly for police officers across the country. With this, they should be able to get things done the right way. The time has come for Nigerians both at home and abroad to join hands to build a new Nigeria, free of injustice and corruption, where all Nigerians will be happy and proud to call their own.
