A NEW INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE HAS BEEN APPOINTED IN NIGERIA BY PRESIDENT BUHARI.

The appointment of Nigeria’s new Inspector General of Police by President Buhari is a welcome news which is exactly how it should be. He appointed a man next in rank to the retired Inspector General of Police (Idris Ibrahim). In any organization, if the boss resigns or retires the next senior person in rank takes over the mantle of leadership but this process was not followed in the Nigeria State Security Service (DSS) which was not a fair deal.
Now hear this: When the former DSS boss was sacked, it would have been the next senior officer in line who should replace the sacked one which was not done. It was another officer that was brought in to be the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS) which got most people in Nigeria talking based on our findings. However, we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to president Buhari or whoever that would be elected in the upcoming presidential election to kindly follow the standard way of appointing officers to various offices across the country (Nigeria) and in so doing, there would be peace and no one would have any reason to complain of one ethnic group being favoured more than others.
