A MILITARY TRIBUNAL IN IVORY COAST HAS SENTENCED THREE SOLDIERS TO LIFE IN PRISON FOR KILLING A FORMER PRESIDENT, ROBERT GUEI.

Viewers Corner News was informed that three soldiers in Ivory Coast were sentenced to life in prison recently by a military tribunal in the country. According to report, the soldiers were convicted of killing former President Robert Guei in 2002, other people involved in the case were given lesser terms. Late Robert Guei became the country’s President after a coup d’etat in 1999 but lost an election to Laurent Gbagbo a year later. The three  soldiers close to Laurent Gbagbo who were sentenced to life in prison were Dogbo Ble (commander of the Republican Guard), gendarmerie Captain Anselme Seka Yapo and Sery Daleba.
