A 71 year old Piran Ditta Khan wanted in connection to the murder of a British police officer, Sharon Beshenivsky in 2005 has been arrested in Pakistan. According to the information our correspondent in London gathered, Sharon Beshenivsky died in Bradford (northern England) 15 years ago after being shot while trying to stop a gang robbing a travel agent. Her colleague Teresa Milburn survived after being shot in the chest. Sharon Beshenivsky had served as a police officer for nine months before she was killed. Piran Ditta Khan was arrested as a result of coordination between British and Pakistani police. He appeared in court in Islamabad on Wednesday and would be extradited to the United Kingdom to face court proceedings.
