Viewers Corner News correspondent in Istanbul reported that nine people lost their lives on Sunday and over hundred others wounded when a magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck across southeastern Turkey near the border with Iran. More than 1,000 Buildings were also destroyed in villages and towns in both countries (Turkey and Iran). The Turkish health ministry said that three people who died in the country due to the earthquake were children, 50 people were also wounded and nine were in critical condition. In Iran, 75 people were wounded. Iran and Turkey are among the countries in the world prone to earthquake. Last month, an earthquake in eastern Turkey killed more than 40 people.
