We (Viewers Corner) heard some leaders in the third world countries saying that four years in power is not enough to fix the economy of their various countries. To some extent, they are right but if they truly work for the interest of the people they are leading, honestly the goodness of true and sincere governance within four years would be felt. The problem is corruption, for instance anytime a country’s budget is prepared, the corrupt politicians immediately start looking for loopholes on how to steal lots of money from what has been earmarked for a certain project. This attitude is common in the third world countries. Instead of thinking on how to create jobs and infrastructural facilities for the people of their various countries, they would rather prefer to share almost all the money budgeted which would have been used for executing vital projects in the country. When the money has been shared, they would be left with little or nothing to execute the projects which would have brought real benefits to the economy and at that point, problems may set in but if corruption is controlled to the lowest level, at least four years in power would bring positive result to the citizens of the country. This is why fighting corruption should be the first step for every country that wants her citizens to be comfortable. President Buhari of Nigeria is a living example which we (Viewers Corner) advise every country in the third world to emulate because his administration is doing nicely in the fight to eradicate corruption in Nigeria, which is very good.
