A gunman believed to be a member of the Reichsbuerger movement (Reich citizens) shot four policemen during a raid in the southern state of Bavaria. According to the information our correspondent gathered, the man opened fire at the police on Wednesday after he was asked to dispose his legal guns during a search in his house in Georgensgmuend town (south of the city of Nuremberg). The 49-year-old man seriously injured four policemen before he was arrested. The man legally possessed over 30 weapons for hunting but the authorities had revoked his license because he appeared increasingly unreliable. The shooter is a supporter of Reich Citizens’ Movement (an extremist group that refuses to acknowledge the authority of the post-war Federal Republic of Germany).
