A CRIMINAL COURT IN EGYPT HAS SENTENCED SEVEN PEOPLE TO DEATH FOR CARRYING ATTACKS THAT KILLED ELEVEN POLICEMEN IN 2016.

It was reported that seven people convicted of carrying attacks that killed eleven policemen in 2016 have been sentenced to death by a Criminal Court in Egypt. The court sentenced 18 others to 10-15 years in prison for the same charges. Their offences includes joining a terrorist group, possession of weapons and explosives, and attacking security forces including attacks that killed 8 policemen in a microbus in the suburb of Helwan. The court also acquitted seven others.
