A COURT IN BEIJING (CHINA) HAS JAILED XU JIANYI (THE FORMER CHAIRMAN OF CHINA FAW GROUP CORP) FOR CORRUPTION RELATED OFFENCE.

Viewers Corner News was informed that Xu Jianyi (the former chairman of China FAW Group Corp) has been jailed for corruption related offence. Xu Jianyi was found guilty of having accepted 12.2 million yuan ($1.8 million) in bribes and he will serve eleven and half (11-1/2) years in prison. According to report, the court reduced the punishment of  Xu Jianyi who was also the former secretary of China’s ruling Communist Party in the northeastern province of Jilin because he pleaded guilty and would return the bribe he collected. His sentence is the latest high ranking in a fight against corruption by President Xi Jinping of China who warned that he will eradicate corruption in the country (China) when he took office in 2013.
