The worst mistake that would happen to any state or country in a democratic system of government is when a terrible leader is elected into office as a Governor or a President, like we all know that democracy is the government of the people and We (Viewers corner) believe that anyone elected to lead the people should always be there for the people at all time. He should be an individual with foresight and care for the people of his state and the same at the federal level too. As it is now in Ebonyi state, Governor David Umahi has personalized the activities of the state, his lack of leadership qualities and poor governance has created lots of problems in Ebonyi state and now he is giving blames to the past leaders which he was a part of then (David Umahi was a deputy governor during the last regime of Martin Elechi). Another funny and terrible thing happening in Ebonyi state is that the historical trees that were planted years ago in Ebonyi state government house have been cut down recently by David Umahi who is now using the woods of those trees in building his private houses in his home town (Uburu). According to Governor David Umahi, some people who do not like his government are using those trees as a meeting point (witchcraft) to hurt his administration and that is one of the reasons his government is not doing well, funny!
This man (Governor David Umahi) believes in charms or voodoo to run his government because if you are not in that group who believe in charm, you would not have been saying so. Honestly this is the most terrible talk we (Viewers Corner) have ever heard in recent times, how on earth can an individual have this type of thinking in his mind? He should blame himself on his inability to govern the Ebonyi state people properly, he has no leadership qualities and has also ignored all the good advice given to him by experts on how he could govern his state nicely. Again, the good people who would have assisted him get out of the problems he intentionally put himself as regards the administration of the state have left him because of Governor David Umahi’s wickedness, selfishness and the I dont care attitude. He does not care about the welfare of other people in Ebonyi state and as long as such a leader like Governor David umahi is in power, the state may not move forward. Even his commissioners and other government officials in his government are complaining, he is not treating them nicely. The terrible thing he did to them was ordering them not to build any new structure of their own so that people would not say that his cabinet members have squandered the money belonging to the state, how possible can that be? Yet he is erecting his private structures every where around the country, this shows that he is an enemy of progress for the Ebonyi state people and such a governor should not have come into power in the first place.
Honestly we are appealing to all the Ebonyi state people to be watchful in the next election before casting their votes on any candidate, Ebonyi state has competent and very good people that can lead the state nicely and make them live very comfortable. We know the good ones based on Viewers Corner’s findings and because of their past good records in Ebonyi state, such individuals can do well if giving the opportunity to lead the state. Again if the Ebonyi state would vote for any of them in the next election, we are very sure that they would change the face of Ebonyi state to success, certainly not Governor David Umahi. The only thing Ebonyi state people would do now is to have patience and plan towards the next governorship election that would come in few years time because as it is now, there is nothing anyone can do to remove David Umahi from office therefore everyone should have patience until next election where they would have the opportunity to vote David Umahi out of office because he has failed the Ebonyi state people completely. Viewers Corner would continue to advise Governor David Umahi to change his leadership style because he is hurting the Ebonyi state people, he should accommodate everyone in the state.
