Viewers Corner News was informed that a bomb blast at Phramongkutklao Hospital in Bangkok (Thailand) has wounded about 24 people on Monday, May 22, 2017. General Srivara Rangsibrahmanakul (deputy national police chief) said that the bomb was hidden in a container by the entrance of a pharmacy and most people wounded were hit by flying glasses. Monday (22 May, 2016) was the anniversary of a 2014 military coup which removed the country’s democratically elected government. The Phramongkutklao Hospital in Bangkok is mostly visited by soldiers, their family members and retired military officers. Though no group has claimed responsibility for the blast but fingers are pointing on either the country’s politicians who are opposed to the military rule or the Islamic insurgents.
