Viewers Corner News correspondent in Dhaka, Bangladesh was informed that five Islamic militants who were involved in deadly bombing that were carried out on August 17, 2005 have been sentenced to ten years in prison each by the Bangladesh court in the southeastern district of Rangamati. These convicted militants are members of the banned group called Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). According to report, the twin blasts killed about 28 people and dozens of suspected militants were arrested and Jamayetul Mujahideen Bangladesh’s top leaders were executed in 2007.
