A 74-YEAR-OLD BRITISH MAN, KARL ANDREE WHO WAS IMPRISONED IN SAUDI ARABIA AND TO BE FLOGGED WITH 350 LASHES FOR BREAKING ANTI-ALCOHOL LAWS HAS BEEN SENT BACK TO BRITAIN.

Viewers Corner News source in Saudi Arabia informed us that Karl Andree, a 74-year-old British who was imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for breaking the country’s anti-alcohol laws has been set free and sent back to his country, Britain. Karl Andree had lived in Saudi Arabia for 25 years where he was working in one of the oil companies in the country. He was arrested in Jeddah on August 25, 2014 after bottles of home-made wine were found in his car boot. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail and flogging for breaching Saudi Arabia’s strict anti-alcohol laws. According to our source, Karl Andree was supposed to be flogged with 350 lashes after a year behind bars but the intervention of the British Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond who pleaded with the Saudi’s authorities to release Mr. Andree and luckily he was set free on October 28, 2015. Karl Andree returned to his country, Britain on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. He has seven grandchildren and has had cancer three times and is asthmatic.
