A 32-year-old Algerian identified only as Fayssal M.B. in line with German privacy rules has been convicted and sentenced to a year and nine months in prison by a district court in Berlin (Germany) for supporting a terrorist organization. According to the report, the man was supporting the Islamic State group by helping the terrorist organization plan the smuggling of a would-be fighter to IS-held terrority in Syria. In May 2017, the man was also convicted in a separate case for supporting the Islamic State. He was then sentenced to two years and nine months, but the verdict is still under appeal.
