It was reported by the Africa military Command (Africom) that an airstrike conducted in El Buur village, Galmudug (Somalia) on Sunday, April 1, 2018 by United States in coordination with the Somali government has killed five Al-Shabaab militants (an Islamic militant group allied with al Qaeda). The militants battled with African Union troops for hours on Sunday after exploding two car bombs in the El Buur village. In 2011, the al-Shabaab was pushed out of Mogadishu, the Somalia capital by soldiers from the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) but they still launch attacks on government, military and civilians in Mogadishu.
