ABOUT 143 SUSPECTED MEMBERS OF ISLAMIC STATE HAVE BEEN ARRESTED BY TURKEY.  

Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that 143 people including 49 foreign nationals who were suspected to have link with the Islamic state have been arrested over the weekend by Turkish police. This arrest made by Turkish police is in line with anti-terror operations in the country. According to the information, some of those arrested were preparing for an attack on Sunday, October 29, 2017 which was Turkey’s Republic Day. The police arrested 39 people including 28 Syrians and two Azerbaijani nationals in Bursa (a northwestern province of Turkey) while in Erzurum, 22 people were arrested, among them are suspected senior members of terrorist organizations. About 33 others were arrested in Istanbul, Izmir and other cities. Several weapons, ammunition, documents and digital data were confiscated by Turkish police during the raids.
